'Automatically optimised' microstepping drive
27 November 2015
Astrosyn’s new compact P756 drive incorporates automatically optimised microstepping, a feature that ensures the smoothest possible low speed operation.
Stepper motors driven by the P756 achieve not only very high angular resolution, but also exceptionally low levels of noise and vibration.
Rated for a working voltage of 24-75Vdc, the P756 incorporates sixteen levels of microstepping resolution down to a minimum of 51,200 steps per rotation. A versatile drive current range from 2.5-6A/phase makes the module suitable for high power applications, and both small and large stepper motor frame sizes.
The P756 incorporates a self-test function to monitor drive performance, an alarm output signal, input signal filtering, and auto-current reduction. It also features protection against out-of-range voltage and current inputs. The housing presents a compact fascia of 34mm x 123mm, with a rear projection of 78mm.
