Modular FRL units from Camozzi offer a variety of options
13 February 2016
Camozzi has expanded its range of air treatment systems with the introduction of Series MD, a new range of modular FRLs that can be assembled to suit a variety of applications.
The modular nature of Series MD offers many different options and associated benefits. For example, with a minimal stock investment distributors and resellers can offer their customers a multitude of options and immediate availability because they are able to assemble various configurations without the need for specialist training or tooling.
Base units can easily be assembled with threaded cartridges (1/8, ¼ or 3/8) or with cartridges for tube connections (6, 8, or 10mm). A wide variety of pre-assembled air treatment units will also be available from UK stockholdings for same day despatch.
The provision of through holes on each component body means these FRLs can be mounted directly to a wall or panel with standard screws or bolts. In addition, a full range of brackets are also available.
The octagonal counterbore (cartridge port) not only prevents the FRL units from turning when fittings are being installed, but they also allow certain models to be assembled in different positions with 45° increments. For example, it is possible to have an adjustment knob (on the regulator) or a manual lever (on the valve) in a frontal or upside-down position.
By using the same body structure across the range, gauge ports are available on the front and rear of each unit, not just on the regulator or filter/ regulator; depending on the individual applications air flow requirements this option also enables the end-user to have an additional outlet without the need to install extra distribution blocks that would subsequently increase dimensions and costs.
Series MD offers filtration grades according to ISO 8573-1:2010 and is therefore suitable for a wide range of applications. Filters help to maintain and protect the system air quality, however, with Series MD there is the added option of a visual indicator to show when the filter is blocked and therefore due for replacement.
