Sulzer brings one-stop repairs to Seawork 2016
25 May 2016
Sulzer will be making its debut appearance at this year’s Seawork exhibition, which is held in Southampton from June 14 to 16.
Specialising in electrical and mechanical repairs both on-board and in its service centres, Sulzer offers a one-stop shop for marine repairs.
Seawork International has now relocated to its new permanent home at Mayflower Park in Southampton, which will enable more exhibitors and visitors to benefit from the popularity of Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition. There is sufficient space for all of the exhibitors, over 600 this year, with its unique mix of onshore and on-water trade exhibitions. Within the Pacific Hall, expert engineers from Sulzer will be on hand to discuss questions relating to marine maintenance including the viability of onboard repairs.
At this year’s show Sulzer will be in the ship repair pavilion on Stand SR2, where some examples of recent repairs will be on display. These will include a cut-away electric motor and a drivetrain assembly that incorporates white metal bearings. With machining capabilities, Sulzer can remanufacture a wide range of components and return them to operation with many years reliable service ahead.
For larger pieces of equipment, such as electrical generators, Sulzer engineers can be deployed onboard to carry out both diagnostic and repair work. With a long history of rewinding motors and generators, Sulzer can also modify the coil design to provide improved reliability and productivity.
For more information visit the Sulzer stand SR2 and talk to one of the experienced engineers about diagnostic and remedial engineering.
