Amazon is developing Weebo from the movie ‘Flubber’

04 July 2016

YouTube channel PatentYogi revealed that Amazon is working on drones that can operate indoors, evolving into something like Weebo from the ‘Flubber’ movie.

These drones can automatically provide temporary lighting, audio input/output, video input/output, a wireless network and access point. With programming, these drones will certainly be able to do more things, such as helping around the house or office. Typically, these drones will rest in a recovery location, i.e. a garage.

Not solely for indoor purposes, the drones can be deployed in outdoor locations like stadiums. Multiple drones can coordinate in such locations, providing emergency lighting and audio output (giving people instructions and directions etc.).
