Have your say on Brexit!
17 August 2016
Engineers! You are invited to share your experiences and thoughts on the potential impact of the ‘leave’ vote within the engineering industry.
The Royal Academy of Engineering is co-ordinating a project on behalf of the 38 professional engineering organisations, with the aim of providing evidence-based advice to government on the opportunities and risks presented by the outcome of the EU referendum. Engineers from all disciplines are invited to share their experiences and thoughts on the potential impact of the ‘leave’ vote on such areas as higher education, skills, energy and the environment, standards and a range of issues that affect engineering industry.
The consultation follows an interactive webinar on 8 August, in which the Academy outlined the work it is co-ordinating and invited members of the engineering community to contribute their views. Almost 200 people tuned in to the webinar, hosted by the IET, to learn more about the project, question the team, and share their expertise.
The webinar is available to view at the IET website.
The project is being taken forward through a series of workshops and discussions in all four countries of the UK.
The project team (firstname.lastname@example.org) is interested in hearing from engineers in all sectors about the risks and opportunities for engineering in the UK leaving the EU.
