Referring to the video posted on YouTube by Tested, Sean Charlesworth, the artist, was inspired to design and print his own lightsaber, but in a rather innovative way.

The Sith Lightsaber kit features a custom cutaway saber kilt, designed to be printed on the Formlabs Form 2 printer. This particular 3D printer can print in high-resolution using multiple materials, so the design will look great from the offset.

According to a description on Pinshape, the saber is designed to be glued together with the cutaway portions held together with magnets. The saber can light up with personalised LED’s and a rechargeable battery system disguised in the pommel.

The design files are free for anyone to download! Get yours here.
