Self-driving truck delivers over 51,000 cans of Budweiser!

26 October 2016

Otto and Budweiser have accomplished a major milestone with the completion of the world’s first shipment of Budweiser by a self-driving truck.

In partnership with Anheuser-Busch, the truck hauled 51,744 cans of Budweiser from Fort Collins, through Denver, to Colorado Springs. Cameras, radar and sensors helped the truck to view the road and control the braking and steering without any human intervention.

This achievement helps Otto’s vision for a safe and productive future across the roads. With this type of truck, drivers can have the opportunity to rest during long hauls while the truck can still drive and make money.

Budweiser was synonymous with this vision, its iconic brand being one of safe driving and reducing carbon emissions.
