Enclosure range offers improved mounting options

07 December 2007

Replacing all of its glass reinforced polyester (GRP) wall and floor mounting enclosures, Legrand’s enhanced range of Marina enclosures has been extensively modernised to make it even more user-friendly and easier to equip, install and maintain. For example, the new Marina range now features:

· Mounting plates that can be fitted directly to the rear of the enclosure without the need for additional fixings.

· Internal and external fixings outside the usable area of the enclosure that aid installation while maximising useable space.

· A vibration resistant hinge on the door for areas subject to extremes of vibration.

· A ribbed moulding on the door to deflect water outwards when opened, therefore eliminating the problems of drips entering the enclosure or splashing onto the equipment.

These developments are complemented by the company’s existing mild steel and stainless steel Atlantic wall mounting enclosures, which include a range of plinths that allow them to be easily converted to floor standing models.

In addition, the colour of both ranges has changed from beige RAL 7032 to grey RAL 7035 – bringing the products in line with modern requirements. And, by removing metal in the GRP Marina design, Legrand has made end of life disposal easier.
