Advanced display enclosures

20 December 2007

Rolec have launched the advanced ‘aluDISPLAY’ enclosures. These modern and ergonomic housings have been designed for slim line displays and control panels. The enclosures can be used as portable units, wall mounted, or fixed to a suspension arm system. Typical applications will include machine controllers, medical equipment, information terminals, display systems and process control units.

The ‘aluDISPLAY’ enclosures consist of a contoured case extrusion, two die-cast end panels, a screw-on front panel and two front panel cover extrusions. Three standard sizes are offered: 333 x 224 x 61 mm, 352 x 284 x 61 mm and 412 x 344 x 61 mm. The cases can also be specified as standard units, or with pivoted wall mounting brackets, or with a coupling tube for mounting on a suspension arm system.

‘aluDISPLAY’ enclosures are sealed to IP 54 protection class. A series of guide rails is provided in the case extrusion for mounting PCBs and display assembles. The front panel is recessed in the top for easy location of a membrane keypad. The case extrusions are silver anodised and the end panels and wall mounting bracket are painted in black, RAL 9005. The cases are assembled by eight M3 machine screws.

Rolec can also supply the ‘aluDISPLAY’ enclosures with the case extrusions cut to special lengths. The cases can also be machined with additional holes for push-buttons, connectors and cable glands, plus silk-screen printed with legends and logos.
