The hard-working robot that lays bricks all day

07 December 2016

Designed by Construction Robotics, SAM (Semi-Automated Mason) is a brick laying robot designed and engineered for onsite masonry construction.

SAM100 is the first commercially available bricklaying robot for onsite construction. It is designed to work collaboratively with the mason, assisting with the repetitive and strenuous task of lifting and placing each brick. Through the operation of SAM, efficiency and productivity can increase by 3-5x and lift reduced by 80+ percent.

Real time construction data can be obtained. Information such as daily performance can help with continuous improvements and the consistent production helps lower the installation and labour cost. Importantly, it can also help lower the health and safety impact on the workforce.

SAM has already constructed various buildings of all shapes and sizes throughout 2016.
