The two-in-one vehicle for land and water

21 February 2017

Biski from Gibbs Amphibians is a single seater, twin jet, high speed amphibian (HSA) motorcycle that automatically transforms into a jet ski when on the water.

The Biski is 2.3m long and 1m wide. On land, it reaches speeds of 80mph and on the water, 37mph. It takes just five seconds to transform from a motorcycle to a jet ski. Featuring a two cylinder petrol engine, it has a maximum power output of 55hp.

Its high speed amphibian (HSA) technology is a group of technologies and expertise that makes it possible to create vehicles that can travel in excess of 30mph on water and land speeds equivalent to that of other similar vehicles.

All Gibbs vehicles use a single engine for providing power on land and in water. This involves the development of an additional PTO (Power Take-Off) to allow the engine to perform both in water and on wheels.

The wheels become disengaged from the drive when the vehicle hits the water. The patented suspension design lifts the wheels clear of the water to help minimise marine drag.
