Artist creates the world’s first tattoo machine prosthetic

24 March 2017

French artist JL Gonzal cleverly adapted JC Seitan Tenet’s existing prosthetic into a tattoo gun using various machine parts so he could continue his passion.

Tenet is based in Lyon, France and lost his right arm about 22 years ago. As a right-handed person he had to learn to draw with his left but now, thanks to Gonzal, he can draw and tattoo using his right-hand with the help of his specially adapted prosthetic.

Gonzal designed the prosthetic tattoo machine using sewing machine parts and a record player, reported Motherboard. It looks like something straight from a Terminator movie! Like a traditional tattoo gun, the main parts used to ink the skin are easily removable and disposable to keep the machine hygienic.

It’s light and rotatable so Tenet can continue to tattoo amazing images, as seen in this video courtesy of Jc Sheitan Tenet.
