Verotec chosen by Lockheed Martin for its Multi Scout SV project

Verotec has been selected by Lockheed Martin to provide custom 19” 6U 600mm deep rack cases to house part of the ISAR system in the AJAX next generation armoured fighting vehicles developed for the UK Army.

A General Dynamics UK project, the AJAX programme provides British troops with high protection and is at the core of the British Army’s deployable Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) capability. It enables the soldier to be at the point of collection of accurate all-weather commander information within a network-enabled digitised platform. Lockheed Martin UK has been awarded a $1bn contract to deliver 245 technology leading turrets that contributes significantly to the ISTAR, survivability and lethal combat capabilities provided by the AJAX Reconnaissance variant. 

Verotec is supplying nine different versions of extended 600mm deep steel rack cases, fully earth bonded and fitted with steel engraved front panels, custom chassis trays and heavy duty bar handles. The ruggedised rack cases are designed to withstand the high levels of shock and vibration that will be found in the tracked vehicles. 

Verotec’s Commercial Director Tim Armstrong said, “Two of our great strengths are our comprehensive library of standard products and our extensive design and modification capabilities that enable us to produce modified prototypes in short lead times. Our core products are all field proven in many different operating environments, so we build on this experience to produce variants for specific applications.”
