20 November 2017

Boston Dynamics introduces us to Atlas, the latest in its line of humanoid robots and one that is capable of performing a backflip and travelling on rough terrain.

Atlas’ reach and workspace is expanded through its advanced control system which coordinates motions of the arms, legs and torso, allowing for whole-body mobile manipulation. Atlas also has the ability to maintain perfect balance whilst performing a range of tasks.

Its hardware utilises 3D printing techniques to save on weight and space and its stereo vision and range of sensors gives Atlas the ability to manipulate objects and travel on rough terrain.
