Wiebe Wakker left Amsterdam on 15 March 2016 in his electric car, the Blue Bandit. His destination? – Sydney, on the other side of the world. The Plug Me In adventure was designed to inspire and educate people of the capability and reliability of electric cars.

Taking almost three years to reach his destination, the BBC reports that "Mr Wakker says he travelled 60,000 miles across 33 countries “without money”, relying on offers from volunteers for meals, accommodation and charging points."

On the course of his journey, Wakker spent time with sustainable initiatives, companies and organisations from across the world to highlight the environmental challenges of each country and promote innovative solutions. He produced videos and reports of this encounters, which you can find on his website.
