FullFlow solids handling diaphragm pump

Traditional air operated diaphragm pumps are fitted with ball valves to enable the passing of liquid and solids. This is a proven design, however any solids passing through are crushed and damaged by the action of the ball moving up and down.
The new FullFlow series is revolutionary. It is fitted with a flap design, rather than the traditional ball design. This new style allows the passage of solids without damage. In fact, solids up to 45mm in diameter and 600mm in length can pass through unharmed! On request, bespoke versions of the pump can be manufactured that will allow even longer lengths of solids to pass.
The valves in standard diaphragm pumps are located within the pump head, therefore the fluid and solids must pass though the pump before it enters the discharge line. This is not the case with the FullFlow, the flap valve system sits below the pump, following a linear path. This means that the solids follow this path and never need to the enter the pump itself.
The FullFlow has all the benefits of a traditional air operated diaphragm pump and even more. For example; it is Atex zone 2 rated as standard and is available in a Zone 1 conduct version on request, is can self-prime from dry, it can run dry indefinitely, it can handle viscous fluids and it can achieve flow rates up to 530L/min and heads up to 40m.
The application possibilities for this pump are endless, from; water and sludge treatment, the ceramic industry, to paper mills and the textile industry. Food grade versions are currently in development that will allow the transfer of delicate solids that are normally very difficult to transfer unharmed, for example grapes, olives and tomatoes.
