The thin section bearing of today

29 November 2019

Thin section bearings provide space and save weight, whilst providing a performance similar to traditional standard bearings. They lend themselves to use in aerospace and manufacturing equipment, robots, military and defence applications as well as medical equipment, machine tools and wider industry.

To guide specifiers through the benefits of thin section bearings, Kaydon has written a White Paper on the topic – The Thin Section Bearing of Today.

Thin section bearings provide space, save weight

The ubiquitous ball bearing was a workhorse of industry throughout the twentieth century. But now, the more compact envelope dimensions and lighter weight of modern thin section bearings better meet the demands of the robotic age.
