A family run 3D print and scanning business have found themselves having to adapt to the new challenges faced by the UK manufacturing and engineering industry. Angela and Daniel Carson set up Surface Scan Limited at the start of 2020 and have hit the ground running. They have collaborated with a number of design engineers and manufacturers nationwide on both single prototypes and batch production projects.
Surface Scan is the one-stop shop for engineers as they provide a “start-to-finish” service from 3D print, scanning to reverse engineering. Surface Scan take care of all processes from designing, testing, design analysis, optimisation, redesigning and manufacturing. They can create 2D and 3D drawings of various products, equipment, parts and components.
By combining Daniel and Angela’s decade of experience, the use of the latest equipment and “SLS” technology each job is delivered to the highest possible standard. Surface Scan are fast becoming a market leader with their innovative work process and can-do mind set when taking on jobs of any size.
With the UK manufacturing industry now back in full swing and the reputation that Surface Scan have earned over the last 6 months, the work has increased rapidly.
