Actuator Built For Tough Duties Has 6,800N Capacity

01 March 2005

Linak-UK has introduced its toughest actuator yet in the new LA36.
Targeted at linear movement applications in hostile environments where it
may be surrounded by water, dust, steam or oil, the unit has proved its
suitability for such applications by passing a pre-release test involving
a 500 hour salt spray. The LA36 is available in 12, 24 and 36V versions,
can achieve a thrust of 6,800N and can travel at up to 12mm/s over a
maximum stroke length of 600mm. Features include a handcrank that can be
used to bring the unit back to its rest position in the event of power
failure, and flexible mounting options. Position sensing is by
potentiometer or Hall effect sensor.
