New service aimed at OEM market
20 March 2009
Leveraging the combined engineering, application and product development expertise brought together by the recent transfer of EMD personnel to the company’s main site in Bournemouth, Parvalux has launched a new product design service aimed at the volume OEM market.
The new service covers bespoke designed sub 1kW motor-gearbox units, replacement unit designs, and sub-assembly designs.
Although Parvalux already has a good reputation for its value-add product modification service, which enables customers of even small quantities to specify any number of customisations to their chosen product, this new offer enables customers requiring higher volumes to also consider a totally bespoke offering - often at no extra cost.
OEM customers who require in excess of 5000 units per year are invited to specify their precise mechanical, electrical, environmental or aesthetic requirements in order to realise their preferred solution. Setting criteria such as size, shape, weight, enclosure, construction, insulation, noise, efficiency, lifetime, price per unit, colour, power, torque, speed control, material etc. as required.
The service itself includes: end-to-end project management; cost-benefit analysis; 3D CAD modelling; Finite Element Analysis (FEA); Math-CAD analysis; Fault Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA); rapid prototyping as well as rigorous performance and application testing; with representatives from Parvalux’s production, design, supply-chain, quality and sales departments supporting every stage to ensure that the process is continually validated by a breadth of expertise and knowledge.
