Hinges with adjustable friction

30 March 2009

Elesa, in its quest to take a novel approach to the development of hinges, has introduced a screw adjustable friction setting. It allows users to set the opening force of the door so that it may stay partially open, or will dampen down the action of the wind in outdoor situations.

The Elesa CFU series hinges are manufactured in black technopolymer with a rotation range of 270 degrees. Friction adjustment is simply achieved by operation of a centrally mounted screw - clockwise for more friction and anti-clockwise for less.
