New shaft seals bridge gap between conventional rubber versions and
mechanical seals



Moontown's new metal-cased rotary shaft seals, with mild or stainless
steel case options and a choice of modified PTFE lip materials, are
described as bridging the gap between conventional rubber shaft seals and
mechanical seals. The units support shaft speeds of up to 30m/s and will
operate over a temperature range of -20 to +250°C.
