Reliable Power

01 November 2001

Schroff has introduced two types of high-availability power supply
systems, supporting n+1 redundant operation. These are designed for its
19in Europac Pro sub-rack system, which can be loaded with up to 10 + 1
Ecopower or Maxpower series cool-running power supply units.

In the redundant input voltage system, the power units are driven by two
separate sources: the utility and standby power supplies; while in the
monitored battery unit solution, Schroff's new combined 19in control and
display module handles the battery management functions and monitors the
power supply dc outputs.
