Tappex Thread Inserts

01 September 2001

Tappex Thread Inserts has released number of headed variants of its brass Trisert self-tapping insert for thermoplastics, thermosets and foam. The fastenings provide a good conductive surface for electrical contacts, ring connectors or eyelets, the large diameter head significantly increasing resistance to rotation in high torque applications. A reduced headed Trisert is also available for instances where a long-length Trisert has already been specified, but designers still need a higher tightening torque to prevent 'jack-out' without change in hole size or boss design.
