Foamsert Self-Tapping Brass Inserts

01 March 2002

'Foamsert' self-tapping brass inserts Shown at Fastenex 2002 earlier this month, Tappex' range of 'Foamsert' self-tapping brass inserts for structural foam materials and fibre boards are double-ended components with a coarse, truncated external thread form. Three equidistant cutting flutes provide effective cutting action at many points over the length and circumference of the insert, which reduces side thrust and guarantees close axial alignment of the insert in its hole. Foamsert can be installed either end-up using a reversible air tool. And when bowl feeding is necessary, there is no need to orientate the inserts.
