01 February 2001

Swedish coin counting and sorting machine builder, Scancoin is now
specifying , for the
wheels inside its new 4,000 coins/minute SC4000 system. PEEK is resistant

high velocity, as well as a wide range of temperatures and counter-facial
roughness. Dimensional accuracy and 'hoop strength' were also key
material requirements, as a bearing has to be pressed into the centre of
the polymer wheel.
