MiniTec delivers laser welding system to Hungary

14 April 2011

The laser technology equipment provider MiniTec Switzerland has delivered the latest version of its laser welding system to VELUX Magyarorszag in Fertöd, Hungary, a company that manufactures solar panels for installation in roofs. The laser welding machine, developed jointly by MiniTec and SunLaser, offers very high process reliability combined with optimal production speed and efficiency, and is capable of producing a panel in around 60 seconds.

MiniTec, in partnership with SunLaser Consulting GmbH, has established a solar thermal centre of competence at Waldmohr  in Germany. This includes a fabrication line featuring a state-of-the-art laser welding system, which will serve as a demonstration and training facility for customers, as well as an ongoing product development facility for the partnership.

MiniTec also offers fabrication services to customers embarking on the development of a pilot production facility, including machinery, preferred components, and certification.
