Norgren's Lintra series helps to reduce machine costs
01 June 2006
If a new design calls for a rodless cylinder that is proven, reliable, flexible and can help to reduce machine costs then the Lintra series from Norgren might be your perfect choice. Featuring a long-life sealing system, Lintra has extremely low reported leakage rates, which ensures running costs are kept firmly under control; and with life figures in excess of 6,000km, maintenance periods are kept to a minimum.
Available with up to four different carriage guide systems as an integral part of the cylinder design, this rodless cylinder series can be specified in a number of variants, including high and low speed options, alternative porting, double carriage, integral valves, integral brake and twin stroke options.
Featuring a lightweight, high-strength profile barrel, Lintra offers high moment resistance to deflection and twisting, so it can be used as a structural member of the machine frame to simplify design and reduce costs. Internal cushioning, moreover, avoids the need for external shock absorbers.
Suitable for lubricated or non-lubricated operation, Lintra features bores sizes from 16 to 80mm, is available with stroke lengths up to 8,500mm and has a pressure range up to 10bar.
