Aluminium D-Profiles for bigger load-bearing structures

Rose+Krieger has added six new dimensions to its Blocan profile assembly system. Aluminium D-Profiles are now available in sizes 80x80mm, 80x160mm, 80x240mm, 160x160mm, 160x240mm and 160x320mm, offering relatively low weight coupled with very high bending and torsion resistance. R+K says that this system can now be used confidently in place of steel to build larger but lighter gantry cranes and machine support structures.

A feature of the new product line is a press mount connector for heavy-duty applications, which ensures that the joint clamping forces are sufficient to cope with the increased load bearing capacity of this system. No machining is necessary and these connectors can be dismantled at any time should reconfiguration be necessary.
