AC Power Supply With 30 kVA Rating

Now available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) is the California Instruments MX30 power supply. Featuring an output rating of 30 kVA, the new unit offers a lower power, less expensive option for users who do not need the full power of other products in the MX Series.

Like the earlier 45 kVA rated MX45, the MX30 is available in three versions: the MX30-1 single-phase model; the MX30-3 three-phase model; and the MX30-Pi, which can switch between single- and 3-phase operation.

The MX30 offers all of the same features, including AC and DC output, constant power mode, and transient programming, as the higher-powered MX models.The extended output frequency range of 16 Hz to 819 Hz makes the MX Series suitable for both commercial and avionics applications.

Dual voltage ranges (3-Pi models or -R option) provide maximum output current at 80% of voltage range and constant power from 80 to 100% of V range. The built in measurement and analysis functions eliminate the need for additional test equipment.

All MX Series AC/DC power systems include a Windows( Graphical User Interface (GUI) program which supports all the unit's functions and capabilities and is accessed using either the IEEE-488 or RS232C interface.
