Rittal CS basic aluminium enclosure range is available from stock

18 February 2013

To overcome the problems associated with the need to design, source and build outdoor enclosures to order, Rittal‘s popular CS basic range of aluminium enclosures is available from stock in a range of standard sizes with either single or double doors.

Featuring solid construction, with an open base suitable for immediate mounting on a standard plinth and an integral rain canopy with inbuilt ventilation, Rittal‘s CS basic range of cabinets provide ideal solutions for a wide range of industries such as telecommunications, transport, road and rail, along with infrastructure industries such as Water and Electricity supply, where the installed equipment is either passive, or has minimal heat loss.

Internal mounting based on accessories from Rittal’s market leading TS 8 cabinet range, allows an extensive range of configurations to be quickly and simply achieved for a perfect solution. Examples include various positions and sizes of mounting plates.

Rated to IP55, when equipped with optional gland plates, Rittal’s basic CS range includes a three-point high security locking system, internal hinges and, for crane transportation of a fully integrated unit, concealed eyebolts.

Meanwhile, Rittal’s range of wall-mounted air/water heat exchangers can now be mounted and removed completely from outside the enclosure without having to open the enclosure door.

Units supplied with the Basic controller will now show the enclosure internal temperature on the digital display and those supplied with the Comfort controller will incorporate the Eco-Mode control functionality, first introduced in the Rittal TopTherm Blue e cooling unit.

Targeting the use of energy the Eco-Mode system employs an intelligent strategy to disable the internal fan when the temperature inside the enclosure falls to 10°C below the level desired. The fan is then enabled for a period of 30 seconds every 10 minutes to ensure the accuracy of the sensed temperature and ensure adequate air distribution before becoming permanently enabled when the temperature rises to 5°C below the set point temperature.

Advanced flexibility of the water connections mean units will be supplied with fitted G3/8in external threaded connections, onto which may be fitted the 1/2in connector sleeves included in the supply. G3/8in internal threaded and 1/2in NPT external threaded connectors are also available as accessories.
