Higher performing corrugated cable protection hose from Murrplastik

Murrplastik has expanded its EWX cable protection hose range with an additional version in a self-extinguishing and specially modified polypropylene (PP).

EWX-PP is UV-resistant and can be used over the temperature range - 40°C to +130°C. All standard cable protection fittings and mounting systems from the Murrplastik range can be used to fix the cable in place. The hose is available in external diameters of 28.5 to 106mm, and features high chemical stability and tolerancet of cleaning agents and oils.

Thanks to its highly corrugated structure, the EWX cable protection hose provides a high level of flexibility and is also much easier to clean than conventional hoses.

The hose is suitable for heavy-duty use; for example, robotic and handling applications, where there is likely to be extreme rotational movements, tight bending radii and high torsional loads.

EWX-PP hoses feature compression resistance (peak compressive strength) of up to 1,400N/100m. In comparison, a standard PA cable protection hose with a diameter of 25mm has a compression resistance of 302N/100m.

The hoses are available in either a one-piece version or alternatively with a longitudinal slit (coded LS), which enables ready-made cables to be easily installed within it. Even when subjected to severe torsional movements, the special construction ensures that the slit hose always remains closed.
