Finding the right fastening method just got easier!

25 April 2006

Design and production engineers looking to rapidly find a solution for their fastening and assembly problems will now do so more easily and quickly by accessing the Fastening and Assembly Solutions website at www.fastening-solutions.co.uk, where they will find the UK’s major suppliers/manufacturers and the very latest product/technical information to help them deal with fastening and assembly issues.

Fastening and Assembly Solutions – incorporating the twice yearly Fastening and Assembly Solutions Exhibition, is an enhanced development of the highly successful Fastening News online magazine, also incorporating the FN Live Roadshows which have now grown into important calendar feature events where fastening and assembly solutions can be talked through face to face.

Fastening and Assembly Solutions will feature not only fasteners and fastening systems, but also engineering/structural adhesives and tapes, together with associated hardware and inserts for metalworking applications. Threaded fasteners and torque control are regularly covered for the automotive aerospace and marine industries, and there are features on specialist equipment such as security, anti-vibration and vibration proof products.

Commenting on the rebranding, NewbyCom MD Mark Newby explained: “The change in title is a natural progression that reflects reader and visitor needs and usage – they come seeking fastening solutions. Providing access to the companies with these solutions is our business. We need to reflect this more evidently. Nothing else will change. The online magazine and search facility will continue to operate in exactly the same way as it has always done with such success”. It currently serves 12,607 individual engineers, buyers and fastening specifiers across UK manufacturing industry, and generates more than 1,000 reader clicks a month on advertisements and editorials.

“The associated advantages of also rebranding the roadshow to the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition” are self-evident. Extensive interviews with visitors, both face to face and on the phone, reveal that 95% of them arrive at the events seeking solutions to specific technical or supply needs in fastening and assembly.”
