Sound And Vibration Analyser

01 October 2002

Pulse Lite is an entry-level from Bruel &
Kjaer, featuring Windows based user software for field or laboratory
based applications. The software has been developed to minimise set-up
time, and is claimed to achieve error-free sound and vibration
measurement within three clicks of the mouse, thanks to a range of
standard measurement templates.

Pulse Lite comes in three configurations: a basic two-channel FFT
analyser with run up/run down analysis option, basic four-channel FFT
analyser with run up/run down analysis option, and a two-channel CPB
analyser. The hardware database stores information when a transducer is
added to a channel. This information is automatically retrieved if an
IEEE P1451.4 compatible transducer with standardised TEDS is connected.
Pulse Lite's TEDS transducers with pre-set measurement configurations
cover about 80% of typical sound and vibration measurements.
