Laser distance measuring device offers 1.5mm accuracy over 500m

Dimetix's new Laser-Distance Sensor, the DLS-B, measures absolute distances of up to 500m with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. The device measures distances on natural and reflective surfaces, and is suitable for use in aggressive environments across a wide tempertaure range.

Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features, enabling easy connection to a control system. The DLS-B device can be connected to an external display via RS232 or RS422, and measurements can also be initiated remotely using the device's digital input.
