TransDev introduces a broad range of timing belts

TransDev has introduced a range of rubber timing belts called Transflex that offers wide choice, with over 1,000 metric, imperial, single and double sided sizes.

The Transflex Classic Imperial Timing Belts utilise a trapezoidal tooth form in various sizes. The result is a flexible and reliable timing belt for a wide variety of applications. A comprehensive standard range has been developed for various load capacities and service conditions.

The Transflex Power HTD Timing Belt design provides increased torque transmissions and more uniform transmission of power. With the teeth in mesh better transfer of belt tension to the tension cords and a more uniform distribution of stresses within the tooth profile is achieved.

The teeth and the belt top are made from high strength polychloroprene based elastomer materials. A special manufacturing process ensures excellent adhesion, both on tensile member and on the facing fabric. Timing belt drives call for a high degree of length stability and tensile strength.

The HTD belts have a low-elongation tensile member of glass cord helically wound in opposing pairs over the entire belt width. A durable protection of the teeth is provided with an abrasion-resistant polyamide fabric, with a low coefficient of friction.

The flexural properties of the synchronous drive belt as well as the exact dimensional mating of the belt and pulley tooth contours permit drives with an efficiency of 98 percent. High strength and flexibility coupled with high quality pulleys, with pilot bored or taper lock design, enable a low-cost, readily available drive set-up with less space requirement.
