Free version of plastic injection simulaiton software

Simpoe SAS, a French software developer specialising in plastic injection moulding simulations, has announced the launch of e-Simpoe; a free internet downloadable version of Simpoe's flagship plastic injection simulation software product, Simpoe-Mold.

e-Simpoe, although a free version, will provide basic filling simulation functionalities - including melt front animation - to take into account manufacturing constraints early into the design stage of plastic parts. It directly fits into Simpoe strategy to develop and democratise design validation for the mainstream MCAD market.

Moreover, e-Simpoe can also be used as a viewer to consult simulation results performed with any of the commercial Simpoe softwares, whether they are filling, packing, cooling and/or warpage simulation results. It will be delivered with online tutorials and help, and will benefit from the same user-friendly and intuitive interface as Simpoe-Mold.

e-Simpoe is scheduled to be available by the end of July 2008. The company is already setting up a beta program with a thousand of selected users. People interested in joining this program should email beta-simpoe@simpoe.com
