A versatile blower-powered drying system installed at the Dana driveshaft assembly facility in Wellingborough has enhanced the plant’s pre-painting drying process. Designed and supplied by Air Control Industries this new installation ensures effective paint coverage of drive shafts and related components. The system’s performance is superior to that of a previous installation as well as eliminating the need for manual intervention and the compressor previously required for this task.

Rittal has extended its range of TopTherm fan and filter units with a 230Vac 900m3/h variant. The entire range of fan and filter units utilise a diagonal fan to provide improved performance against increased static pressure differencials. In turn, this offers greater energy efficiency and a more constant air throughput, effectively minimising the occurrence of hot spots. The new product is also fitted with an electronically commutated (EC) motor to further reduce power consumption.
