Goss subsidiary, PMT offers 'limitless' pressings capability

PMT Press & Multi-Slide Tooling – another string in the bow of Goss Springs, say Nick and Dan Goss who run the family business based in Epping today.
“In our broad industry group we are unique in that our expertise embraces both wire bending and press work,” says Nick. Goss Springs designs and manufactures a wide range of spring components whilst the second arm of the business operating from the same site - PMT Ltd - offers an equally impressive range of pressed components and multi slide tooling for customer specific applications.
The range of products and services offered by PMT is seemingly limitless. From shock absorber components for cars to components for paper roll feeders and small pressed parts and springs found in domestic applications like the household electrical socket and plug. Further examples of relatively simple everyday products include hose clips and the small springs to be found in alkaline battery holders.
The pressed part capability of PMT follows the same philosophy as Goss Springs: “We will make the optimised component from the precise requirement of the customer and use the best possible materials available,” confirms Nick.
The wide range of materials include annealed and pre-hardened carbon steel, stainless steel, non ferrous alloys, silver, nickel, gold, the latest generation of thermo-bimetals and high nickel alloy material for corrosive and arduous environments.
