Free upgrade for thermal imagers

02 October 2007

Fluke, a specialist in handheld electronic test and measurement technology, has announced the availability of a field-installable firmware upgrade for all Fluke Ti20 Thermal Imagers out in the field. The free upgrade will double the image-storage capacity and increase the number of user-selectable, on-board colour palettes from four to ten.

The easy-to-use Fluke Ti20 provides fully radiometric images, and has powerful capabilities to quickly identify potential problems in distribution panels, switchgear, motors and other industrial applications, at a price of less than £4,000. With the new upgrade, it will have a storage capacity of 100 images and, with the additional colour palettes, an enhanced on-board analysis capability for troubleshooting, as well as for preventative and predictive maintenance.

New InsideIR 4.0 software can be downloaded free from: http://us.fluke.com/usen/support/software/ti_update.htm Then, when the Ti20 is connected to the PC, the software will automatically update the firmware.

InsideIR 4.0 offers advanced analysis tools with enhanced profiling and trending, increased routing flexibility, reporting enhancements providing advanced reports and trending reports, and automatic web updates to ensure the latest software version is used. InsideIR 4.0 will also run on the latest Windows platforms.
