Cutting Out The Keyway

01 November 2001

You don't need to cut keyways with Cross & Morse's new Avante range of
timing belt pulleys, nor do you require a retaining screw and plate.
Avante pulleys are installed along with an expanding-bush, shaft-clamping
element, available in five sizes to fit shafts from 11 to 60mm diameter.
Once the pulley is in place and correctly positioned, its is retained in
place by tightening six set-screws. Pulleys are available in various
sizes and profiles for 5-10mm standard belts and 5-14mm HTD belts. The
design allows an expanding-bush connection to be made between metric
T-series pulleys and main shafts.
