Vision sensor products

01 January 2008

On Schunk’s stand at The Machine Building Drives & Automation 2008 exhibition (Birmingham NEC, February 13-14) will be the intelligent vision sensor SRV, a development of the successful Camat series of products from Vision & Control.

The SRV can be used without additional peripheral devices, for practically all tasks in industrial image processing, including the inspection of workpieces, completeness checks in assembly automation, searching for parts or positioning axes and angles. The system can check for the presence of mechanical components such as pins, rings, nuts or bolts, perform assembly and feature checks, recognise damage on edges, detect the position of fastenings and labels, and sort and remove defective components. In pick-and-place applications, it ensures that parts in all kinds of rotary positions and even limp objects, such as cables and hoses, are safely gripped.

Also set to be introduced at the show are the new size 60 Beta series of linear axes, polyamide gripper fingers, and adapter plates.
