Precise and compact workholding

07 January 2008

Schunk has conjured up a significant development in clamping force blocks with its Tandem KSP plus. The multi-tooth guidance of the base jaws, the long jaw guidance and exact centering via the clamping sleeves considerably reduce jaw lifting. This enables the Tandem KSP plus to achieve a repeat accuracy of up to 0.01mm to deliver precise machining results.

The new Tandem KSP plus clamping force block is available in compact 100, 160 and 250mm sizes. The compact clamping force block with its one-piece, extremely rigid base body achieves gripping forces of up to 60kN. The integrated piston lubrication and compact chip-deflecting shape and wear-resistant parts guarantee the end user that the Tandem KSP plus is a remarkably sturdy and largely maintenance-free unit.
