Fixing letters is a breeze for top flight football club

28 January 2008

Villa Park is the largest football ground in the Midlands. As you arrive at the Trinity Road end today, one of the first things you see is the club's name, signed in imposing lettering two metres high and 50 metres wide. When sign maker Omega Signs was commissioned to build and install the lettering, one of the first problems they needed to solve was how to fasten the sign into place. Lindapter provided the quickest and easiest solution, with the bolt-on CF high friction clamp. This allowed the lettering - which is mounted onto two channel sections - to be bolted onto the stadium's structural steelwork without drilling or welding. This greatly simplified the job, allowing the sign to be erected very rapidly, using just a 'cherry picker'.
