Hepco’s DTS on the front line against Covid-19

Few of us could have anticipated the impact that COVID-19 would have on our lives when it was first reported at the end of 2019. While vaccination programmes start to be rolled out across nations, testing will continue to be important in fighting the pandemic.
South Korea has received international praise for the nation’s response to the pandemic – a quick roll-out of large-scale testing was an important part of the strategy. To become a reality, it was necessary for Korean pharmaceutical manufacturers to adapt quickly to the demand for testing kits that the policy entailed.
Machine builder HD Tech was tasked by one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in South Korea to create a production cell for assembling COVID-19 test kits. In need of a reliable solution quickly, British manufacturer HepcoMotion became the supplier of choice.
