Control Techniques introduces new specialist HVAC drive
11 March 2021
Control Techniques has expanded its specialist family of industry-specific drives with the introduction of the new dedicated H300 HVAC drive.
H300 builds on Control Techniques’ five decades of drives expertise, delivering precise, dependable flow control for HVAC applications. The new range is fully optimised for fan and compressor control, with energy efficiency at the heart of H300’s feature-set. The drives boast a series of HVAC-specific tools, including an onboard fire mode which allows the drive to continue running uninterrupted in the event of a fire, allowing the safe extraction of smoke while the drive’s other functions are maintained. Conversely, H300 is designed to function efficiently in conditions from -20º up to 55ºC, making it ideal for refrigeration and cooling applications.
H300 also integrates seamlessly with Building Automation systems thanks to its built-in support for BACnet and Modbus RTU protocols. This can be expanded further, with optional integration modules enabling H300 to fit into virtually any existing system or communications protocol including POWERLINK, EtherNet I/P, PROFINET and many more. Additionally, its dimensions are among the smallest in its class, at every power rating, saving valuable building real estate and maximising mounting flexibility.
Anthony Pickering, President of Control Techniques, said: “The HVAC and refrigeration market for drives is growing at an incredible rate, as customers seek ways to reduce energy consumption and costs. With our new H300 drive range, we’ve combined our expertise in variable speed drive technology with our deep understanding of the challenges faced by customers in the HVAC sector.
“The new range will deliver exponential energy savings, therefore reducing costs, while also providing the intelligent motor control features inherent to our drives. We’ve also expanded our unique free five-year warranty scheme to include H300, making it the ultimate ‘set and forget’ drive for customers in the HVAC world.”
