Stäubli 4mm safety sockets ease classification process for testing & measurement solutions
09 June 2021
Stäubli enhances its 4mm safety socket portfolio with new panel-mount sockets, improved materials, and additional colour variants.
A new range of panel-mount sockets with a unique profile now complement the existing portfolio of measuring solutions on offer from Stäubli. Amongst other benefits, it allows a user to fit a socket by punching out a hole as opposed to using a traditional drill bit, in which case the double D type thread acts as an anti-twist feature. Alternatively, a standard round hole with current dimensions can still be used. Orange has been made available as an additional standard colour for use within the e-mobility industry. All of the new sockets are 100% compatible with the existing product range.
A new and improved material, bearing the UL classification of V0, replaces the HB rated material which has been used to date. Fitting sockets manufactured from V0 classified materials will also ease the UL certification process for the complete device.
A new selection of sockets with shorter contact pins has also been made available for use with measuring devices where installation space is limited. These sockets do not have an additional solder hole at the end of the contact and are 5.5mm shorter than current models.
