DELO to host day-long virtual conference on advanced driver assistance systems

18 September 2023

The ADAS Manufacturing Virtual Conference will be hosted by DELO, taking place on 16 November 2023, from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. CET (7.00 a.m. to 11 a.m. GMT).

It will feature speakers from the adhesives manufacturer as well as high-profile automotive suppliers, who will be discussing the latest trends and possibilities in the production and assembly of cameras, LiDAR, RADAR and ultrasonic sensors.

Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) have been a defining technological marvel in the automotive industry since the turn of the century. Beginning with features such as RADAR-guided cruise control, these technologies have evolved to enable some autonomous driving functions, allowing for greater safety and, more recently, reduced driver intervention.

Adhesives have been crucial for ADAS, especially given the latter’s rising market penetration, demanding efficient production.

Topics of discussion will include best practices in automotive camera, LiDAR and RADAR applications, the active alignment assembly process, appropriate adhesives for other automotive electronics, and manufacturing process solutions that promote sustainability as well as automation.

A number of scheduled presentations will also be given by industry experts from outside DELO. The conference will host speakers from Bosch – the world’s largest automotive parts supplier and a long-standing DELO partner – electronics experts from Hella, as well as industry leaders from Innoviz and Aview.

Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with an in-depth discussion on development requirements and market and application trends. The European photonics industry association, EPIC, is also one of the event's partners.
