Axair Fans UK is an independent company engaged in the manufacture and distribution of industrial fans to all parts of the UK and the South of Ireland. The business has roots in the fan industry going back 25 years and has operated under its present banner since 1993
Back in 2003, some ten years after its formation, Axair acquired 12,000ft2 of purpose-built premises in Newcastle-under-Lyme, including offices, warehouse and production space, plus sufficient land to expand the business by half as much again as required. The company is Quality System ISO 9001:2000 approved by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance.
The company employs experienced and qualified staff in all departments, from regional mangers throughout the UK, to product managers with specific range responsibilities, and warehouse, workshop and administrative personnel. All staff with technical and sales responsibilities have wide experience of electric motor and fan technologies, and are able to solve practically any problem involving the movement of air, whether it be the cooling of electronic components or the removal of hot fumes from test plant. Indeed, heating, cooling and air circulation systems are built on a daily basis by the company, often to customer specification.
Axair serves a large section of the original equipment manufacturing and smaller project markets, offering an exceptional variety of fan models, many of which are either assembled or stock-modified by the company. The aim of this service is to deliver precisely the type and size of fan to fit the duty and to avoid the limitations imposed by having too narrow a product range.
Whilst having the right fan is a good starting point, the secret of creating exactly the right fan configuration for the application often lies in the accessories. Many fans need to be controlled to achieve the correct degree of air movement; some need effective isolation from the product or building in which it is installed; some need to be sheltered from the elements, while some need protection from heat or corrosive fumes. Whatever is needed, Axair can provide the accessory that will enhance the fan installation and its performance. There are no compromises - just the right fan, in the right place, at the right time.
Axair supplies axial and centrifugal fans, many with special design features to serve a full spectrum of applications. Axial fans can be of the dimensionally compact, external rotor motor type, offering singlephase speed control via electronic voltage variation. Axial fans may also be of the robust industrial type for wall or duct mounting, with high ingress protection and optional three-phase speed control via an inverter drive.
Centrifugal fans may be single-inlet or double-inlet, single-phase or three-phase, motor either within or outside the airstream, for normal or high temperature air, hot or corrosive fumes. The materials of construction can be corrosion protected and epoxy painted mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or moulded polypropylene. Both axial and centrifugal fans can be built into fan/filter units, which are widely used to filter dust particles from cooling air before it enters an electronic enclosure.
Axair Fans has long and valued associations with a number of major European fan manufacturers. These include Rosenberg and Ecofit, famous for their external rotor motorised fans; Etri for their high-tech fans, SEAT laboratory fume fans, Fandis equipment fans, and Sodeca and Casals industrial fans. Axair stocks the most popular models from these manufacturers, and all can be supplied on short lead-times.
