Family of capacitive sensors completed

23 March 2009

Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced a range of new sensors in M12 cylindrical housings with extended sensing ranges to complete its extensive family of capacitive sensors.

Sensing distances of 8mm are now possible in the 12mm diameter housing style, for non-flush mounting. The stainless steel cylindrical body, coupled with the PEEK plastic face, offers excellent resistance to chemicals and common cleaning products, making them well suited to applications such as simple level and overflow detection. The sensitivity is adjustable to enable the switching point to be moved to suit the application and target material.

Other sensors in the portfolio include a flat-pack style measuring just 5mm thick and offering a sensing distance of up to 10mm, and numerous rectangular and cylindrical options, in ac/dc and intrinsically safe versions.
